Description: Epiphone 1967 Bard FT-112 made in Kalamazoo by Gibson. All original. In 1967, Gibson made the FT112 identical to their B45 12 string with all the same woods, same bridge and adjustable saddle, same trapezoid tailpiece, and same Kluson tuners. The only difference between the 1967 Epiphone Bard FT112 and the 1967 Gibson B45 was the headstock shape and inlay/branding. Please look at the pictures closely. The pictures are part of the description. There are some minor dings and scratches that are typical for a 50-year-old vintage guitar, but no breaks or cracks or significant damage. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish has plenty of age-appropriate crazing that you can see in the pictures. I changed the strings and took some pictures with strings off to show you these things:There is minimal fret wear. There are some scratches in the fretboard parallel to the fret bars between the 3rd and 4th frets. There is no soundboard warping thanks to the original end-loaded tailpiece. Many of these vintage Gibsons have a severe bump in the neck where it meets the body that that causes fret buzz unless you remove the lower frets, but this guitar does not have that hump. Also, the soundboard isn't cracked between the end of the fretboard and soundhole, as is also common on these vintage classics. The new strings are GHS Vintage Bronze Custom Light. I like to play 12-strings with light strings tuned down two steps to D instead of E because that high G tends to break on a 12-string at regular tuning. If you tune to standard you might want heavier strings. Action at the 12th fret is 1/16" on both the high e side and the low E side. Stand not included. The case is a generic hardshell case that's in excellent condition but has some minor cosmetic blemishes. Shipping to USA only.
