Description: This instrument (which comes with a coffin-style case with the mailing address on it) was sent back to the USA via soldier's mail in June of 1919. It is labelled as a "copie de Andreas Borelli fecit Parmae anno 1720". The wood appears to be quite plain, and there have been several fractures on the front and back of the instrument which have been professionally repaired. This model of violin was produced by the Jerome Thibouville-Lamy violin company as well as the workshop of Paul Mangenot. The original pegs, strings, bridge, tail piece, chin rest, and end button have been replaced. This instrument is ready to play as it is. Please check the photographs carefully and ask any questions before bidding.
