Description: Chrome OGS 1" Threaded Headset for Vintage Schwinn Bikes & Forks This Auction is for a New Chrome OGS Classic Cruiser 1" Head Set 22.2mm x 32.5mm x 26.4mm. This is our go to Headset for a New Replacement Headset on our Vintage Schwinn Bikes with Vintage Schwinn Forks. This Headset is a New Import that offers Good Look and Performance for a Budget price. Please fully read for Compatibility and Accuracy, So we can get you on the road faster. This Head Set works with 1" threaded Vintage Schwinn forks. The Cups fit a Classic Cruiser Head Tube that has a 32.5 mm or 1 9/32" opening "also AKA Cup Diameter". 32.5mm Head tube is Very Common, Fits Vintage Chicago Schwinns - Ballooner - Middle Weight - Lightweight- Bicycles. Does not work with Vintage Schwinn Bikes with 3 piece cranks and Lugged Frames. In rare cases some old bikes may of seen too much excessive use and the head tube is stretched, making the cups a loose fit, in that event a shim may be needed for a tight fit. The top Nut has a 22.2mm or 7/8" opening for stems of that size ( the fork must also have the 22.2mm or 7/8" opening for the stem to work) 22.2mm or 7/8" is the larger of the 2 sizes,it is common to Newer Bikes 1980 - Newer and Vintage Schwinn Bikes before 1965. Being the Bigger size it works on all applications and just has a gap on smaller applications. The Washer is non Keyed. The bearings are 15 x 3/16" ball retainers. The Bottom Crown Race is 26.4mm or 1 1/32"and fits Vintage Schwinn Blade & Springer Forks and Other forks with a 26.4mm or 1 1/32" Fork Crown Race Lip. The 26.4mm or 1 1/32"size is more common to Vintage Bikes. If your using a Newer Fork Check our ebay store for our Cruiser Bicycle Headset 1" it will have the 27mm Crown Race that's common to newer forks. The Crown Race in the Photos is not the one your getting, You will get a similar one in silver that is the 26.4mm or 1 1/32"size.
