Description: CRYPTOZOOLOGY SERIES COMPLETE 18 COIN SET EACH COIN IS 1 AVDP OZ .999 PURE COPPER These are a custom minted series that was made and sold in Silver to several sellers over the years, a couple of sellers had some in copper back in 2019, 2020, but since COVID I have been the only seller with them in Copper.I have added a little history of each one listed below: 1. BIGFOOT--Sasquatch or Bigfoot is based on a Northwest Native American Legend of a large hairy Man/Ape like creature 7 feet tall or larger with very large feet. From the early 1800's all the way to this day , still with no proof.2. CHUPACABRA-- A modern Myth, from the 1800's in the Americas. A fanged beast with red glowing eyes that kills goats and cattle by sucking their blood. Sometimes thought to be a hairless dog that is desperate for food.3. JACKALOPE-- A myth right here in the USA where a rabbit has antlers or horns like an antelope. This started as far back as the Lewis & Clark expedition. The truth is a rabbit can have a tumor like growth on its head and it could look like a small antler, but nothing like the created one here.4. LOCH NESS MONSTER-- A Mythical creature from Scottish folklore said to inhabit the "Loc Ness". There is a rumor that in 565 AD the monster bit a swimmer, but he was lucky to have survived. This coin is designed from the famous picture that was (supposedly) taken in the early 20th Century.5. THE MERMAID-- In European folklore, mermaids or Sirens could change form as well liked music. Their singing would cause ships to to crash on the rocks with all hands lost. The mermaid folklore was very popular back in the 14th & 15th Centuries.6. THE KRAKEN-- As far back as during the Viking times the Norse mythology said a Kraken was a dreadful sea monster capable of sinking ships and with a taste for human flesh. But today the legend is based on a giant squid.7. JERSEY DEVIL-- The story goes that a Mrs. Leeds a resident of Estellville was distraught when she found out she was pregnant with her 13th child and shouted "Let it be the devil" and it was. First in 1909, sightings from all over South Jersey and the Philadelphia area.8. THE MOTHMAN-- From West Virginia folklore a humanoid creature seen in the Point Pleasant area in 1966. It is not known if he causes incidents or disasters but where ever he has been seen disasters and casualties will soon follow.9. UNICORN-- As far back as ancient Greece the Unicorn is mentioned in several texts. A horse sized animal with a white body and a rainbow colored horn. They are known for purity, innocence, and power. It is said the horn will turn poisoned water pure again.10. THE WEREWOLF-- Visions of LON CHANEY pop into my head. A human by day, a wolf by night then back again. Nuff said.11. YETI-- Like Bigfoot but in the mountains of Nepal or the Quinling Mountains of China, both at about 4000 ft altitude.12. MONGOLIAN DEATH WORM-- From a 1926 book that said it was a 2-5 ft long bright red or yellowish skinned worm that has corrosive yellow saliva that can kill anything that touches it.13. THE AHOOL-- Name based on the sounds it makes descending on it's prey. Sightings in the deep jungles of Java as well as New Guinea back in the 1920's. It is said to have an 18-28 ft wingspan and attacks animals as well as humans.14. PUKWUDGIE-- A human like creature of Wampanoag Indian folklore. Found in Delaware, Prince Edward Is. and parts of Indiana & Massachusetts. Said to be like gnomes or fairies, only about 2 feet tall, best to avoid because they can be nice and then turn nasty and steal your children or commit deadly sabotage.15.WENDIGO-- The legend exists in the oral history of the north American Indians before we arrived. It is said if you were to greedy or preferred human flesh to eat you would turn into one.16. SQUONK-- Started as lumberjack folklore in the early 1900's. It was thought to have appeared in the hemlock forests of Pennsylvania. It is a sad creature that was said to be depressed with itself and would get so distracted as to not eat to the point of starving to death.17. BEAST OF BUSCO-- In Indiana folklore an enormous snapping turtle was seen back in 1898 then again in 1948. They have said it could weigh as much as 500 pounds Few have seen it, most don't believe it, but there is a festival each year in Decatur Indiana to honor it.18. COUNTRY ROAD CREATURE-- A humanoid creature that stands about 20 feet tall but most times it is on all 4's because the arms and legs are grossly extended and flexible in all directions. Looks like a very large spider with a human face. It lures, murders and eats its human prey. Created by Trevor Henderson with some realistic photos to show for it.
