Today and tomorrow seem difficult by comparison. Because we don't know the answers, we can only guess and hope. When I was little I often fantasized about going back to first grade, but knowing everything that I knew later, and really wowing them with how well I would do. Of course, I wouldn't learn anything and there would come a point when my past self would catch up with my present self and then I'd be in a bit of a pickle, wouldn't I, because here all along everybody thought I was some sort of super-student and all of a sudden I'd be thrown onto my own rather more limited resources. I wouldn't know the answers anymore. So, I'd struggle along for a while and then go back and knock them all dead again. Sounds like cheating, and it would be. Mark Twain wrote a whole book about it, called A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. It didn't work. You can't go back again.
