Description: Up for grabs is a Coverless copy of Detective Comics #69 featuring the Joker! 3rd Joker Cover ever!!! Classic Jerry Robinson cover. Coverless and missing centerfold. Cream to off-white pages. Outer wrap detached but present. Some corner creasing top right of first few pages. 1'' tear middle top edge of last eight pages. Batman/Joker story at front of book is not affected by the missing centerfold. Overstreet Price Guide GD value: $3,550. Beautiful art and great stories featuring Batman and Robin facing off against the Clown Prince of Crime, the Boy Commandoes by Simon and Kirby, the Crimson Avenger and Air Wave. The book also features some cool house ads showing off the covers of Batman 14, All-Flash 7, Superman 19, Green Lantern 5 and Wonder Woman #1 among others! Now the down side; the centerfold is missing, which interrupts the Crimson Avenger story and one page has an ad cut out (someone evidently wanted to send away for some trading stamps). The missing ad doesnt affect any story. Still a cool piece of golden age history if you cant afford six or seven thousand for a nice copy with a cover. An affordable example of a comic from 1942 ! This comic book will only keep increasing in value over the years with it being a key and with the upcoming movie JOKER 2, Joker: Folie Deux which is scheduled to be released October 4, 2024, by Warner Bros. Pictures. See the book here: https://youtu.be/H5kgMdm8dfc?si=Zrt2Sg1gJVW-dd-j
