Description: I first became aware of who Elton John was during the movie 'Tommy', by the Who, which came out in 1975. I was very young, but it was rated PG, so no one cared. A movie with the language, drug use, and sexual situations like that today would likely get an 'R' rating very easily! Elton John played the Pinball Wizard in the movie, and performed the song. (He also has a hit with it.) I heard his songs on the radio before that time, I'm sure, but never realized who he was. But many decades later, Sir Elton is now an elder statesman of rock, and has quite a career to look back upon... In 1990, nearly THIRTY FIVE years ago, MCA released a FOUR disc set titled 'To Be Continued...', and it came out in a really nice box! The discs span Elton's career, from the very beginning, to a stopping point in '90. It's smash hits, rarities and unreleased tracks, and FOUR new Elton John and Bernie Taupin compositions created especially for this box set! Each CD comes in a case with a cover that forms a pic of Elton. A credits sheet is included, as well as a nice booklet. And all housed in a big box that's awesome! The discs look new, and are all shiny and clean. The box has some light wear, mainly on the back. Nothing a permanent marker couldn't fix. (I'll leave that to the buyer.) If you're a fan of Elton John's music, this probably includes several tracks that you don't have! And of COURSE I'll add a bonus! In 2019, a movie about the life of Elton John, titled 'Rocketman', was released. It's a drama, but also a musical. His songs are featured prominently in the movie, though not a true rock opera, as there's plenty of spoken dialouge. Taron Egerton does a fantastic job as Elton, and it's actually a really good movie! And this is the Blu-ray/DVD combo, which contains both discs. The DVD is NTSC region 1, but I'm not seeing what region the BR disc is. It's at least region A, but could also be region-free. The Blu-ray looks new, and is shiny and clean. The DVD has a few light surface marks on it, but nothing bad, or that will affect play. Comes in its original slipcover!
