Description: This Hong Kong 20 Dollar banknote from 2010 uses the same mythological creatures from the fronts of the preceding issues, but the back design features new unique vignettes to pay tribute to Chinese heritage and technology through inventions. The obverse side of this 20 Dollar note features a mythological carp fish jumping out of the water along with a bank logo pattern in underprint and numeric 20 in SPARK. The reverse side features an ancient calculating tool also known as the abacus and binary code. The note is 144 x 72 mm in size and contains a Magenta-to-gold windowed security thread with demetalized HK20 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of a Bauhinia blakeana flower and electrotype 20 on a pixelated background.
