Description: Only this one extremely rare set of gold metal Greek, Roman or Medieval wrist guards' or bracers from MGM's 1970 David Weisz Auction BEN HUR is available. The MGM 1970 Auction of it's movie props was a treasure hunters dream as they were selling everything they had made or purchased from 1925 to 1970 including 250 stagecoaches. MGM was ahead of their time with these magnificent and extra nice 100% metal Roman bracers were only worn by the very highest-ranking Roman officers. This pair of Nickle silver plated bronze armor bracers came from the MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer) 1970 world famous Auction. The David Weisz Co. company purchased almost all of MGM's props and costumes at that time and then auctioned it all off right there at the studios. This included every movie they had made since 1925. These armored bracers could have come from the 1925 Ben Hur, the 1959 Ben Hur with Charlton Heston, the 1951 Quo Vadis, the 1953 Julius Caesar, the 1953 Jupiter's Darling or any other number of Greek, Roman, Egyptian or Biblical times movies they made. This was a true sell of the century with countless MGM movie magic treasures going to the highest bidder. They also sold 250 stage coaches, paddle boats, sailing ships, trains, hundreds of cars and military vehicles, antique furniture fit for a King or Emperor, countless statues and so much other stuff you cant even comprehend.
