A noted Nashville player said it was the best he has heard and I know his ears & opinions carry more weight than mine. An eclectic mix of numbers to say the least kept us in amazement. You will hear why pedal steel masters all look up to Buddy Emmons as the Guru.There is something about live performance that is hardly ever captured in studio. The energy, the buzz & excitement of the crowd, the ambience of the room, all contribute to great listening.Jeff Newman opened the concert with an dazzling 8 tune selection. He gave us more proof of why he was always the best teacher for anyone who needed the extra push or direction to get started in steel, in the right way. I think he was the most passionate & knowledgeable instructor who gave of himself endlessly, in his quest to further the steel guitar.These 2 audio CD's have over 106 minutes of ear candy.. There will be a bonus CD of my choice included with every order. Oh, it will be good, I guarantee you. Concert is Excellent sound from cassettes, 17 cuts for Emmons & 8 cuts for Jeff.One other thought about this stuff. You will probably never ever hear or see Buddy in a Live venue ever again according to his statements to me back on Friday evening Sept 25th, 2009. I say again this is as good a material as he has done at any time and that is saying a mouthful. Just look at the list of songs that he played, not things he did every time he appeared around the world. How blessed & fortunate we were to have him anytime but this time was Special, Amen.
