Description: Here is a MEGA RARE album from my collection offered up for sale: A limited edition album, Bill Haley and His Comets album "Rockin' Around the World", released in 1958 by Decca Records DL 8692 MONO, This is a special promotional 1st pressing with pink DJ labels, and printed Decca inner sleeve. This is an album of unique oldies, each with a national theme played in Bill Haley's classic style. Songs include "Rockin' Matilda" "Piccadilly Rock", "Me Rock A Hula","El Rocko", "Viva La Rock And Roll", all featuring Bill Haley's booming vocals, rockin' guitar, sax, bass and drums, a winning formula! This album is in well cared for condition for a 60 year old! The vinyl grades VG+ /EX, is super clean and glossy, has a few small light marks & sleevewear, nothing heavy! This Lp has been well cared for! PLAY TESTED, plays from start to finish with excellent sound quality, clear bright sound, a very enjoyable listen! Side1 record label has a sticker mark. Side 2 label looks terrific! Vintage Decca inner sleeve looks great! The cover rates VG+, is clean and bright with minimal ring wear, edges and corners have light wear and top split has been repaired with clear tape, binder is still intact & readable, has two radio station call letters in pen on top right rear corner, there is an interesting and historic name tag on front right corner that reads:THE METCALFE RECORD SHOP 638 W. DICKSON STREET FAYETTESVILLE ARKANSAS, so this rockin' relic came from the deep south in the heart of Dixie! (see all photos) Will be shipped in a plastic sleeve in a record box with tracking.
