Vintage 90s 2000s Camillus M3 WW2-Style Fighting Knife & Leather Sheath CLEAN

Description: This Vintage 90s 2000s Camillus M3 WW2-Style Fighting Knife & Leather Sheath is in excellent, clean condition overall and only shows mild signs of age and handling. The blade is unmarked, however the crossguard is marked "U. S. CAMILLUS." The original factory edge is still intact and very clean. The "parkerized" finish is strong and only wear from handling can be detected. Light traces of age and storage can be noted on the blade and crossguard's finish however no signs of damage from abuse or neglect are present. It strongly appears that this blade has not been used or carried. The stacked leather grip is also clean and strong, the leather has been stored properly. The pommel is securely pinned in place with a single pin and is marked with an World War Two style Army Ordnance acceptance stamp. Of note, original War production examples used two pins to secure the pommel. The brown leather sheath is in excellent condition and retains the blade securely. The leather is strong and supple, no cracking or other damage can be detected. The backside is clearly stamped "CAMILLUS USA." The metal tip guards are also clean and show only minimal wear. All metal hardware is clean and functions as you would expect. Of note, this knife appears to be a "factory error" example as the crossguard belongs to a bayonet and not the M3 fighting knife it has been attached to. No evidence of tampering is detectable, the guard is securely attached without any noticeable "play" or "wobble." It strongly appears that the crossguard was installed at the Camillus factory when these knives were reissued in the late 80s and early 90s.
