Vintage Handmade Sixteen Patch 30s era Feedsack Farmhouse Quilt

Description: Sixteen Patch Handmade Farmhouse Quilt Double Size Shown displayed on a queen size bed, and it’s small This 1930s / 1940s era vintage quilt is made up of patches from feed sacks and clothing of the era. It’s a heavy weight blanket, as the inside I believe is a wool camp blanket that was used as filling. On the top side, there’s hand tied patches, in calico cottons - lots have a lovely 30s era pink rose patch, feed sacks, children’s clothing, and other depression - ww2 era textiles. The back side is a mix of gabardines, flannels, and heavier weight textiles. What makes this special: I added some detail shots to show how unique and lovely the novelty prints in this one are - some of my favorites include purple folk roosters, children’s pajamas, and Native American drums Decorating ideas: this is so heavy it feels like those weighted blankets! Condition: Good overall shape, but this does have some staining that I was never able to get out. I have repeatedly soaked this one, and it’s still got black staining that has not responded to color safe bleach, oxy clean, borax or enzyme cleaners. It’s not too overwhelming as it does blend in to the patterns, but the spots are all over. This comes to you freshly washed after the cat jumped on it.
